Drop your mobile phone and go fishing

Travel restriction due to the Coronavirus pandemic is preventing people from traveling and citizens have no choice but to explore new hobbies. Some start playing mobile games and spend more time online, while others begin outdoor activities.

Usually, I will travel 2 or 3 times per year but the 14-day compulsory quarantine is stopping me. I am not a big gamer at all but started playing PUBG, the famous shooting game. This game is indeed exciting and addictive. However, playing too long on a small screen will get you tired. So, I decided to go fishing instead.

When I was still a kid, I used to go fishing often with my father. But I haven’t done that way too long. I went to a shop to buy a fishing rod and other tools to start with. The sales guy was kind enough to teach me the basics and my memories were coming back once again.

On the first day, I went fishing in the river. Using bizarre worms that bite you as bait, I ended up catching two tiny fish. Although they were tiny but active or violent fish.

On the second day, I went to the sea near where I live.  Beautiful place and not many people were there. Again I caught two tiny catfish. They were rather quiet and inactive. It wasn’t difficult to unhook and release them.

Fishing was great fun not because I could catch some fish but because I could get away from the digitalized lifestyle.
